Prayer Shawl Ministry
DO YOU LOVE TO KNIT or CROCHET??
The "Covered in Prayer" Prayer Shawl Ministry has been in existence for approximately 5 years now. We have about 15 members and have our monthly "Sit and Knit" get together/meetings on the 2nd Saturday of each month! You certainly don't have to join us for our "Sit and Knit" get together/meetings, but if you'd like to, we meet in the A.R.K. on our church campus at 10am - Noon. We have an enjoyable time of fellowship and fun and it also provides us a time to share new ideas and discuss future goals.
All who enjoy knitting and crocheting are invited! The feedback has been tremendous, and positive comments have been received from the recipients of our prayer shawls. All shawls made are donated and then blessed by our Rectors on the altar on Sundays. This way of knitting and crocheting, with the purpose of blessing others in need, is a very soul satisfying experience.
If you have a relative or close friend who you feel would be comforted by receiving one of our blessed and "made with love and prayers" prayer shawls, please leave your name, their name, and condition to pray for as we knit their own personal shawl, in our Prayer Shawl Basket on the Information Table. Also if they should have a favorite color/colors that you would like their shawl made, please that info as well. You may also pick up an already-made and blessed prayer shawl in the church office, if you don't want to wait to have a personal one made. When you take a prayer shawl, just leave your name, their name and date inside the box containing the shawls that are located in our church office. Blessings, Sherry Godden
