Barbeque Cook-Off

Holy Comforter holds an annual Barbeque Cook-Off.  We like to invite the entire community at large to join us in the day long festivities which include numerous family activities such as live music, a moonwalk, a carousel, a dunking booth and much more.

Anyone may enter a cook-off team for a registration fee.  Please contact HCEC for entry requirements.  Trophies are awarded in many categories including brisket, poultry, beans, and ribs amongst others.  One year, the winning team boasted that "Nobody came close last year and ain't nobody gonna touch us this year!"  The gauntlet has been thrown and we encourage all challengers to come and serve humble pie to the reigning chimps!

For those participating in the cook-off competition, the fun begins on Friday evening!  Camping will be available and is encouraged.  You will need to bring your own power supply if needed.  Fun for the entire family begins at noon on Saturday and continues to dark.  All proceeds will benefit the HCEC general fund and pastoral care committee.
